These state that contact lenses can only be supplied to the general public by registered practitioners. We are registered with the GOC to fit and supply contact lenses and can legally supply you with contact lenses to prescription. We can only do this if we can be sure that you have had a contact lens aftercare recently.
You will need to obtain up to date details from your own Optician. In the UK it is a legal requirement that a copy of the spectacle/contact lens prescription be given to the patient when the examination/fitting has been completed or on request (if this is a duplicate for one already issued a charge can be made). This enables the public to exercise a choice in obtaining their spectacles/contact lenses from a different and possibly cheaper source while maintaining ocular health with regular eye examinations.
We can only supply contact lenses the same as the ones you are currently wearing. Your contact lens prescription (not your spectacle prescription) must have been issued by a registered optician within the last year and you must not be due for an aftercare appointment.
